General Microbiology
General Microbiology is important for understanding the rest of the subject so it is going to be a long section. Here are topicwise best videos –
1. Introduction to Microbiology
Let’s start this section with a ted talk. It has nothing to do with the curriculum but the beauty of microbiology is explained very well in this.
2. Morphology of Bacteria
I m giving two options for this topic. Both are great. Watch whichever style you prefer.
3. Physiology of Bacteria
This one video is enough for understanding the relevant concepts.
4. Gram Staining
In this section, we have 2 videos – 1st one is about the comparison of gram negative and gram positive bacteria (by dr mike). The 2nd one is to introduce you to the practical procedure of gram staining.
5. Bacterial Culture
It is more of a practical topic. Here is one video. We will study more about cultures with individual bacterias.
6. Sterilization and Disinfection
This is one of the most important topic for microbiology and you will be using this chapter in your entire career in medicine. Here is one simple video that sums up everything.
7. Bacterial Genetics
This can be an entire subject but here we will look at just one concept. For the other topics refer to genetics section.
