Digestive System

The digestive system is tested heavily in exams. It is one of the easiest units you will study. Make sure you are correlating everything from the anatomy section. Most of the videos here are shared from the Ninja Nerd Youtube channel.

1. Mouth and Salivary Glands

On this topic, I am sharing two videos. 1st one is related to the physiology of salivation and the second one is on deglutition. Before this, it is advised that you are clear with the Head and Neck Anatomy unit.

2. Stomach & Pancreas

Stomach and Pancreas physiology related to GIT is covered under the topic of gastric secretion section. Gastric secretion is covered in phases, So two videos are shared below. Try to watch them in this order only.

 

3. Liver and Gallbladder 

Liver and gall bladder is a vast topic. Some parts are covered in the Abdominal Anatomy section. 

Other parts – Metabolism is covered in detail in Biochemistry.

4. Movements of Gastrointestinal Tract

After this, the next topic of the small and large intestines is covered here along with the GI motility. Three videos on GI motility are shared.

This topic is covered in the above sections but if something is left then that will be covered here in the enteric system.
